Two doctors at Zest Medical, Dr Kate Naylor and Dr Cassandra Kenna, are accredited to provide shared care for pregnant patients booked at Monash Health, Mercy and Royal Women’s Hospital.

Shared care is a model of care that allows a woman who is booked into a public hospital to visit an accredited GP for most of her pregnancy care visits. Women often find this model very satisfying and convenient as they are able to schedule their appointments with a local GP and only need to attend the hospital at certain stages of the pregnancy. Your GP can advise if you are suitable for this care at your first pregnancy visit.

Pregnancy care involves regular general health checks and the coordination of appropriate investigations such as blood tests and ultrasounds. Pregnancy can also involve lots of questions and physical changes and our experienced GPs can assist in managing any issues that arise.
